Friends and Yogis,
The cold weather and gray skies will not get the best of me because I have created a little California right here in Europe. For those of you who remember the Del Mar dinner parties, you will recall the joy of celebrating true friendships, sustainable foods, live music, yoga healing--A real spiritual night out that rocked the chakras. Those dinner parties refueled all of us and now it is time to share those conscious events. Somehow, I have turned into a global Martha Stewart and still in my kitchen cooking up spiritual applications that people can relate to--parties. At the last gathering, we balanced our brains and healed our eyes. We addressed a scary subject like Alzheimer and other diseases of an unbalanced mind. We learned breathing techniques that balance energies, superfoods (Acai & Ning Xia Red) with benefits and essential oils to help us feel healthy.
What's New?
Monthly conscious dinner and tea parties are being organized throughout Europe. My energies have been focused on creating conscious events while I finish writing my newest book called, Conscious Dinner Parties — of course. This new book will offer seven planned gatherings with a spiritual conscious healing theme along with two mystery dinners. It will be up to the reader to use the life lessons learned from the book to create the mystery dinners. The Conscious Dinner Parties book offers a fun game and serves as the perfect house gift for all your friends.

Holistic Healing Tips:
Did you know that cooking with Coconut oil can balance your brain? Watch this video.
Over 4 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer's. It is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Dr. Richard Restick, a leading neurologist in Washington, D.C., stated that maintaining normal synaptic firing would forestall many types of neurological deterioration in the body. Essential oils my help to balance this disorder.
Therapeutic grade essential oils high in sesquiterpenes, such as vetiver, cedarwood, frankincense, patchouli german chamomile, myrrh, melissa, and sandalwood, are known to cross the blood brain barrier to help maintain balance in the brain. Helichrysum oil has been used to support neurotransmitter activity. Interested in Young Living essential oil?
Celebrate The 6th Chakra-Ajna
As a yogi would say, "keep your third eye open and live a life connected to a spiritual flow." The sixth chakra, the area in the center of the forehead, includes the organs of the brain and eyes. This chakra is associated with the nervous system and pituitary gland and connects us to our intuition, intellectuality and confidence. When this area is unbalanced, it can lead to brain problems, including Alzheimer's, brain cancer, migraines, strokes, autism, fibromyalgia, epilepsy, impaired thinking and psychological disturbances like depression. Mettaplaytion Yoga. Use the following breathing technique to balance your 6th Chakra and keep a healthy mental state. Interweave your fingers and as you fold your hands together keep the ring fingers pointing straight out and pressing against each other. Place your hands in front of your heart and chant, ONG (Oooonnnnnng). Chant for 5-10 minutes.
Quick Message From The Spirit World
Many important changes are occurring right now, in this very moment. Learn to a have positive attitude with every life shift. It is very easy to lose the focus of our dreams and get scared when events don't go as planned. If we are not careful, fear shows up and it is not a trusted friend. Try to avoid stepping into a dreadful place with life. Instead do something that brings immediate peace and joy.

As the summer days fade into cool fall breezes, the seasons teach us to embrace the changes life offers. Transformation is once again upon us and it is time to thank each and every one of you for playing an important part in my life and helping me to grow. Let us all join together and welcome personal shifts as we move into our greatness.
What’s New?
I had a fabulous time in June on my visit to San Diego. Pauline Carbone was the host for a beautiful Conscious Tea Party and I believe we all had fun doing the Metaplaytions, snacking on healthy desserts and sipping on gourmet teas. Hugs to Pauline!
Juergen and I are boarding a plane for Montreal, Vancouver, Victoria and then down to San Diego in a couple of weeks. I will see some of you very soon. Once in San Diego, I am excited to be co-creating an event with teacher/musician, Michael Kolasa. We will be at Ginseng Studio so please join us.
Also while in San Diego, I will be participating once again with Dr, J and the healer’s training group. I am connecting with some most amazing spiritual healers. If anyone needs a healing––well, I know the healers.
I am very excited to launch Yoga By Jyl here in Brussels at the beautiful Serendip Spa. I have finally found my home and will be starting September 20th to offer yoga classes, workshops and spiritual healing sessions. Much gratitude to my new friend and founder of Serendip Spa, Claudia Zackariya-Dau.
Words from the spirit world
Instead of limiting the focus on birth and death, be clear to allow rebirths into your life. Open up to a new vibrational frequency as you let go of the parts of your personhood that no longer serve your life. Flow forward on your spiritual quest and don’t look back to examine your faults. All is well. Trust the changes along the way and know that they are divinely planned by your soul. Change is the way you grow and rebirths are a major part a higher consciousness.
Holistic tips:
How to Eat Healthy When You Are on the Go:
- Pack healthy food to start your travels: raw fresh carrots, fresh fruits, nuts, rolled flat bread/vegetable and herb sandwiches, lactose free cheese. rice crackers, dried fruits and even leftovers from the refrigerator that must be eaten. In Brussels there is a raw food grocery store and restaurant that I pick up food-to-go. It doesn’t get much healthier than that. Also don’t forget to include Young Living products on your travels. Remember to take along wolfberry crisp bars and single 1-oz packet of NingXia Red Juice.
- Pack plenty of bottles of water. The more water you can drink the more hydrated you will be and the less hungry you become. My husband loves his bubbly water and I must have my still water. So make sure to include both.
- Eat a good breakfast before setting out. If you are well feed and nourished you won’t be temped to stop at the McDonalds and pig out.
- For a sweet tooth, include Spry peppermint or wintergreen chewing gum in your carry on bag. Sometimes in the car or on the plane it is really hard to clean your teeth so chewing some sugarless, all-natural gum really helps plus it can really take the edge out of your sugar cravings.
- Once you are at your destination, quickly locate a healthy grocery store. If you are lucky, a Whole Foods will appear.
- Do a little research before your travels and find health food restaurants and groceries store in the cities you are visiting. Keep a list in case you go back or have friend visiting at a later date.
- Finally, when you are traveling and you just can’t find anything healthy––well, maybe it is a good time to do a little cleanse. The body is probably more addicted to your food choices than it is actually hungry. Take a day of rest and drink herbal teas and let the stomach have a break from digestion.
Chakra Healing: Speak Your Truth
Keep your fifth Chakra balanced and happy this fall. The fifth Chakra is the throat area. Communication is the theme for the fifth Chakra. Learn to communicate your needs and to be the teacher in life. Teach yourself and other with your words. Learn to ground heaven on earth as you embrace the power of the fifth Chakra. I like to use a drop of the essential oil – White Angelica around my neck as a protective support.

Hey everyone, happy new year!
I have a great feeling about 2011 and this year will bring much joy to all of us. So set your intentions to bring joy into your life and start making your new year decisions and goals from the heart instead of a fearful head. The time is now to ask yourself, ” how can I be of service to others instead of worrying how I am going to make that fast buck.”
It never fails, the new year always brings excitement along with the worry of getting products and services out to our clients in a fast and effective way. We, who are in the health industry know that a flip of the calendar into a new year shifts many people into wanting to start a new–exercise program, weight lost program, health plan or habit. Many people’s new year resolutions include taking better care of themselves. So if you are a healer, set your vibration on receiving the right clients. If you are looking for changes this year…simply start in your mind and begin to see yourself already having or being those desired changes and then ask God to bring you the perfect coach to help you obtain your new goals.
Right now for me, I have finished my new book and I am all excited about getting it out into the world. My new year goal is to create an effective marketing campaign for my new book and healing services. For me the most important thing is to stay grounded and have faith that the right people will be drawn into my life and my book will find it’s wings to fly into the hands of the right readers. In other words, Trust the universe to provide.
If you have time after reading this blog, please check out my product page and consider my new book for yourself or a friend. Get High on a Higher Vibration: A Tune-Up for Conscious Living, will help you as you are clearing out the old from 2010 and manifesting new habits for 2011.
Let’s all have a great year and life our best life.
Love,
jyl |

Hello friends,
It is time I put my lipstick on and write another newsletter. Hope you are enjoying the beautiful spring weather with summer soon on the way. At least, in Belgium the sun is shining and the roses are in full blossom. A reminder to those of you living in the US, I am on my way back to San Diego June 5th -17th. I look forward to connecting soon.
Quick message from the spirit world…
The spirit guides wanted me to ask you–What would your life look like without the constant nagging of fearful thoughts? Right now take a deep breath and as you exhale, release the conscious fear you are holding in your body. After awhile of living with so much fear it begins to take a toll on how we live our lives. The fearful energy in your shoulders or hips, keeps you living in a lower aspect of yourself. Take another deep inhale and on your exhale, promise yourself for the next hour of this day you will be fearless.
AND no Chicken Little, the sky is not falling and world is not coming to an end. Smile.
What’s New?
I had a fabulous visit in Ohio, San Diego, Laguna Beach and New York in February/March. I got to hang out with my most favorite people. Some of you, I haven’t seen in over 30 years. Thanks to everyone for spending time and buying my new book, Get High. I really appreciated all the unconditional support and love.
I have finally started doing my energy healing work and teaching yoga in Europe. Yeah! There are amazing women (people) right here under my nose and slowly but surely, I am finding them. By connecting with other spiritual gals, Brussels is starting to feel more like home.
I am finishing up with my writings on my latest book called: The Conscious Dinner Parties, A house gift and game book–– perfect for girlfriends. I will give you a little preview in my next newsletter.
Upcoming Events:
In the name of the Conscious Dinner Parties book––all of a sudden I want to create Conscious Tea Parties! The whole trendy cupcake thing really excites me to start baking (as soon as I figure out my Euro oven & metric system) sustainable teacakes. Conscious Tea Parties are stress and calorie free events with spiritual overtones and a little yoga mixed into the batter. Perfect for everyone’s tastes buds.
UPCOMING TEA PARTIES:
June 10th & 17th San Diego, CA 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 10th Brussels, Be 14.30h-16.30h
Check out my yummy recipe for Lemon Teacake.
Holistic Healing Tips:
While in San Diego, I will be attending some of Richard Jelusich’s healer trainings. Some of you will remember him from our famous Flower Reading Dinner parties. These training sessions remind me how powerful spiritual healings can be for the mind, body, emotions and soul. If you haven’t given yourself permission to receive a healing either in person or remotely (distance healing)–take time today and make an appointment with your favorite healer. (If any one wants a Raindrop Therapy Healing session with me–I will have my oils in San Diego and of course I will be available in Europe–phone 02 646 8086).
For healing relationship issues, I highly recommend reading Rick’s new book called, I Can Relate–– How we intuitively choose the people in our lives.
Heal your heart
The 4th chakra (subtle energy portal) is around the heart/chest area and is your conscious awareness of love. We all have access to this empathetic power. Those of you who are dominate in the 4th chakra make sure you take care to shield yourself from other people’s stress, fears and dramas. I find it is best to place the essential oil of JOY on the chest right after the morning shower or bath. JOY is a blended oil that you can find on my website or you can go directly to Young Living. I highly recommend it to all my girlfriends. I wear it instead of perfume because it has a much higher vibration.
Have a Joy-filled day,
Hugs,
Jyl

Having a conscious Monday with Jyl….
My mother use to tell me, ” honey, put your lipstick on and you will feel better.” You know what? It usually did make me feel better and almost immediately.
Now, I have grown up and become a spiritual teacher who helps others to feel good about their lives, love and the spiritual journey. Putting your lipstick on still helps but I have created a list of tips to help you shift your energy and feel some happiness in your manic Monday.
I reminded a friend just this morning that happiness is an inside job. Some of us will only be happy when our situation changes, but that is NOT how it works. Everyday you must wake up and set an intention to have joy and happiness in your life.
Have a wonderful day filled with happy and joyful thoughts, feelings and actions.
Feel Better Helpful Tips:
1. Bathe your sadness away. Let a shower clear your energy field and except some new positive vibes. If taking a shower or bath isn’t going to work or you already did…
2. Drink some water. If you are talking with someone who is taking your joy get them a glass of water too. Let the water balance any negative energies.
3. Look into a mirror and smile. Send love to yourself as you are standing in front of the mirror
4. Grab your feet and give yourself a mini massage
5. Take a deep inhale through the nose and exhale out through the mouth
6. Get up and go outside for a walk. Walking in nature or a city park where there are plants and trees will make you feel better right way plus it will provide your lungs with new refresh clean oxygen.
7. Music. Plug into your IPOD and relax to your favorite songs. Singing is very powerful and will change your mood in minutes.
8. Do a spiritual ritual like yoga or Thai Chi. Move and breath to a “new you”
9. Say a prayer and offer any problems up to your angels, spirit guides or God
10. When life gets icky, I throw a white light on myself and on whatever is bothering me. This is the fastest way to change a negative and even harmful situation.
11. (taken from Jim Shawvan newletter this morning) MEDITATION ON LOVINGKINDNESS, COMPASSION, SYMPATHETIC JOY, AND EQUANIMITY
The following meditation is known as “The Divine Abodes” or “The Four Immeasurables”. Reciting these words to ourselves is always appropriate, no matter what the circumstances. Start by saying “May I have happiness”, etc., through all four lines; then repeat, inserting the name of someone you like; then again with the name of someone who’s neutral to you; and finally with the name of someone whom you don’t like. (It may take a while before you are comfortable doing this for the ones you don’t like – but it’s very important in the long run.) This practice is beneficial for us and for everyone with whom we come in contact.
May all living beings have happiness and the causes of happiness. May we all be free from suffering and the causes of suffering. May we always rejoice in the happiness of others. May we abide in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion. |
